LED bulbs feature low power draw, whiter light, and cooler operation than conventional bulbs, which is why they're standard issue on many of the latest European cars.
The MINI is quite particular about the current draw from its light bulbs, so you'll need to either install resistors to present the proper electrical load, or live with "bulb out" warnings from your dash.
Also, for the same reason, LED bulbs may flicker periodically (when the car is on but the bulbs are off) as the car tests the circuit.
